Phillip and Sheri!

Phillip and Sheri came in wanting to purchase a new ring for their anniversary and were trading in the old wedding set and some old gold to bring down the price of the new ring. We found that perfect ring and she fell in love with it! Phillip asked Sheri, "are you sure you want to trade in your old ring?" Sheri said, Sure! Well, she went home and thought all night long and through the next day, second guessing her decision. Phillip called and informed me about her change of heart about her old ring. I immediately went to Joel to see if he still had the ring or if it was scrapped. We looked through numerous bags of gold trying to find her old wedding ring. After quite some time, we found the ring and I called Phillip to tell him the good news. He couldn't wait to tell Sheri! Knowing they were going to dinner I suggested he not tell her now and surprise her with her old ring wrapped up in a purple J.David box. We took the old ring and he gave it to her on their anniversary. She was so surprised that he worked so hard to get the ring back and then giving it to her again, just as he did the day he asked her to be his wife! This is just one story of why I love what I do and look forward to it, each and every day!

This is really cool! If you take a reagular jewelers loupe that has a
10x magnification and you put it in front of the camera you can take
magnified pictures to show detail. The simplest things like this are
just fun!

There is something so romantic about a husband proposing again to his wife. I had a customer come in and buy his wife a new engagement ring for their 10 year anniversary this past week. He was so excited to show her how much he loves her all over again. She came in a few days later with the ring on and was just as happy as any newly engaged girl. True romance is never lost on any woman.

What a wonderful evening! So many women here making the job of their special someone SO easy this year. Night one was a wonderful success! I don't know that I've seen that many smiling faces within a two hour time frame before. I'm very eager to see what night two has to bring for us! Stay tuned of our video of night one.

chances are you need some work. Stop in we will check and clean your
ring for free. I recomend you us do this at least twice a year.

Nov. 6 Lincoln Christian High School Football Game

Congratulations to all of our Pandora and gift certificate winners at the 2009 J. David Jewelry sponsored Lincoln football game! We had a great time meeting the winners and handing out the prizes. It's such a treat to watch the game from the sponsor suite.

The team had an awesome season and we are looking forward to the playoffs!

Birthday wishes.

So I'm the new guy here at the store, and don't really expect people to go out of their way to do anything nice for me. Don't misunderstand, I'm very appreciative when they do, but non the less, don't expect it. The staff here at J. David Jewelry are a very unique bunch. The niceness is actually genuine here! It's not in just one or two of the team either, but ALL of them! How is that possible? It's almost contagious if you hang around them long enough. Thanks for the song and cake guys. You're all aces in my book!

Buffing with Frank

So I'm sitting down at my desk and in walks Frank headed to the buffing machine. I don't think anything of it until I look down at my wedding ring and see all the dings and scratches. Hmm, I wonder what my ring looks like under all this wear and tear? Frank hooks me up and WOW what a difference! So, I go looking through the store for something that looked worse then mine and video Frank cleaning and buffing this thing. Just Amazing! Check out the before and after above. If we can make something as small as a cleaning look this incredible just imagine what we can do for your next important occasion! I love it here.

I stopped in the store on my day off today to say hi to Joel. Got to see some of the pictures he took and heard some of the stories about the latest diamond buying trip to Antwerp. It sounds like it was an amazing trip and he had great favor with the cutters. I can't wait until the diamonds arrive in a few days!

I'm no Jim Anchower or Jean Teasdale but here goes...

Ok, first blog post. Doing a really cool band for a customer and got the wax in yesterday. Absolutely beautiful but was missing a small part so it had to go back to grow another. This is going to be one incredibly beautiful ring when finished and I'm really excited about it.

ANTWERP

October 24 marks the departure date for J David Jewelries biggest diamond buying trip. The fact that Joel travels to Belgium, Antwerp EVERY year to hand pick diamonds is fascinating to me. I don't claim to know the ins and outs of everything jewelry related, but when you are cutting 3-4 middle men out handling these diamonds and all their fees you're going to save so much and when I see the excitement in his face talking about this. I'm tellin ya, the excitement rubs off on to you.

My role in this trip is to bring the story back to you. To explain why he goes, what exactly goes on there, how the diamond buying process works and to show you, from Antwerp, how this trip benefits you. Needless to say I'm really looking forward to October 24, but there are lots to do before the trip and so many great things happening here a J David Jewelry.
